Marine Rubber Airbags are advanced marine engineering products designed for ship launching, landing, and heavy lifting operations. A mid-sized shipyard in Southeast Asia successfully launched an 8,500 DWT bulk carrier using 18 high-capacity airbags with a diameter of 1.8 meters and length of 16 meters. The vessel measured approximately 118 meters in length with a displacement of over 7,000 tons.
The entire launching process was completed within a few hours without any structural stress or damage to the hull. Compared with building a slipway, the airbag solution reduced infrastructure investment by more than 60%.
